The camp-out was planned months in advance by Gretchen and Adrienne. The first to arrive was the Dinsmore's but site A-26 was being logged at the time. Gary and Judy even got to watch a lumberjack scale the trees with climbing rope and boot jacks. Fran and Gil Pickering soon arrived followed by Adrienne and Dave Schilling, JP and Gretchen Daly and their children.

On Friday Ron and Jan Stites pulled in with several of the youth group and Yvonne Karreman. Pastor Marilyn Allen, Audrey Sinner and Niki, Rachel Conner and Alaska rounded out our group.

We hiked and sought treasure on Friday. That was so much fun that we dug out the bicycles and rode to the other end of the park to look for more Geocache treasures on Saturday. I say we rode, but that is not completely accurate. There is a "mountain" between the south and north ends of the park and most of us did a lot of walking and pushing.

Fran and Gary had several Bluegrass/Gospel "jam sessions" over the course of the weekend. Saturday evening was a full blown hootenanny including such old time favorites as "Hole in the Bottom of the Sea," "On Top of Spaghetti" and "The Preacher and the Bear."

On Friday evening Judy, Audrey, Fran and Gil had a Pinochle tournament, and Saturday evening was a pot-luck dinner that was a great success.

Sunday after breakfast we had our traditional Camp-Out Church Service including Communion and hymns accompanied by guitar and fiddle.

By 1:00 p.m. Sunday we had everyone packed up and the campsites cleaned. Then we all headed for home.
