Christian Stewardship at Plymouth Presbyterian Church

We should see our offering as our commitment to the mission of Christ. Not only our money, but our whole life with its precious time and individual talents. God gave us all we have: God expects all in return. Neither money, nor abilities, nor time can stand alone as a full offering. Liturgy means “the work or action of the people.” In no part of the liturgy is the “people’s work” more evident than in their offerings to God. When we see ourselves as being presented on the offering plate – our time, our abilities, our money – when a person begins to grasp the miracles performed by God with our very human offerings, then we will comprehend the mystery of, “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” (Acts 20: 35)

God takes our human gifts and uses them for God’s holy purposes. Our offerings become vehicles of God’s grace! Our money supports and expands the ministry of Plymouth church here in Columbia County and around the world.
